The 17th annual Moultonborough Academy Homecoming Parade returns this Friday, September 29, 2023, at 2 pm. Come watch students from the Middle Level and the Academy present their Class floats or Base Camp themes, and be sure to catch one of three 2 minutes performances by one of the judges’ stations. The parade starts at the Academy at 2 pm, heads to Blake Road and the first Judging Station (this is where the elementary students will be sitting). It turns right on Blake, then right on Route 25 / Whittier Highway. The second Judging station is by Aging Excellence, while the third Judging station will be by the main Historical Society building. The parade then concludes and heads down the access road back to school.
New this year, students will perform a short skit/activity in front of each of the judging stations, to the delight of attendees. Best places to view these performances will be at Judging Station #2 and Judging Station #3, though we encourage everyone to line up on the north side of Route 25 / Whittier Highway, as the floats and Base Camps are designed to be viewed from the driver’s side, and not from the other side.
