January is National Mentoring Month. Moultonborough School District’s mentoring program is in its 21st year. The mentor program aims to foster a sense of belonging, support and friendship amongst our students through positive social connections that develop through consistent mentoring relationships.
High school students come to MCS weekly to spend time with their mentee during the school day. There are also a handful of outside of school events including a trip to Moulton Farm, Mini-Golf and a Winter Movie.
The program currently have 23 pairs of mentors/mentees pairs. We had 18 high school students participate in this year’s training for new mentors.
Any questions about the Mentor Program can be directed to the Mentor Program Coordinator, our school social worker, Marti Bolduc at mbolduc@sau45.org
