At the June 13, 2023, Moultonborough School Board meeting, the School Board recognized retiring educators for their service with plaques, thanks, and cakes. This year’s cohort of retirees represent education roles that provide valuable services to the school district’s students beyond the traditional classroom teacher role: Elaine Fabian, MA Special Education Teacher/Life Skills; Linda Isabelle MCS nurse; and Donna Winsor, MA Paraeducator in the MA Independent Learning Center.
Ryan Marsh, Director of Student Services, and Principals Kathleen D’Haene and Joe Lane said a few words about the retirees as they received the plaque honoring their service. Prior to the start of the School Board meeting, the community celebrated the retirees at a reception.
The Moultonborough School District thanks our retirees for their service and wish them all the best in this next journey of their lives.
Our retirees:
Elaine Fabian took the Life Skills program to a new higher level over her 13 years at MA. She formed community connections for her students from the start. During their time at MA, they access the local library, grocery and convenience stores, adult living centers and auto mechanic shops to learn life skills and develop their interests. She worked with the Lakes Region Technical Center to create modified technical programs that led to gainful employment for our students. Ms. Fabian is remembered by the staff as someone with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and compassion for others.

Linda Isabelle has served as the school nurse for more than 15 years. Mrs. Isabelle is remembered for her constant care and compassion for the students, staff and families of MCS . Her commitment to the well-being of others has been greatly appreciated by all at MCS.

Donna Windsor has worked in the district for 9 years in the MA Independent Learning Center (which provides a location, support, and resources to our students who are taking classes virtually through VLACS and engaged in ELOs.) She is a great educator and has made a difference in the lives of our students.
