Fifth graders in Mrs. Gleeson and Mrs. Grinavic’s classes have started studying Ancient Greece. Before February vacation the 5th graders participated in the “Grinavic/Gleeson Olympics”. Teams first researched their city-states, then made flags to represent what they have learned. They then competed in various math, reading, and STEM activities. Included was the math relay, parts of speech Jeopardy, box hurdles, chariot building and racing, and the paper airplane toss.
