Our school counselors are such an integral part of our school community, and we send a big THANK YOU to each of them during National School Counseling Week.  Read below to hear more about each of our three school counselors and why they love their job.

smiling womanAt Moultonborough Central School, we have Sara Fogarty. Sara has worked with the district since 2007.  She teaches the Choose Love curriculum to the elementary students and gets to interact with each class every week.   “I became a school counselor to help foster self-confidence, acceptance, resilience, community and connection among youth and their families.  I love witnessing the growth and excitement of our younger learners, connecting with and supporting families, and watching all of the kindness and compassion our students share every day.  Our students, families, and staff make MCS a wonderful place to be!”

Erma KrupicErma Krupic is the school counselor for the Moultonborough Academy Middle Level.  She has been with the district since 2020. “I became a school counselor because it’s so important to me that all students have an adult they feel safe with, who cares for them, and supports them through successes or setbacks. I love connecting with students on a genuine level, helping them grow, and making a difference in their lives. There are few things better than seeing a student’s progress and the feeling of pride that comes from knowing that you got to be a part of the journey in some way, big or small.”

Jen ChapmanThe School Counselor for the High School is Jennifer Chapman.  Jen has been with Moultonborough School District since 2009.  “I love being a school counselor because it is exciting to work with students as they become more independent young adults and start to make decisions about their futures. Moultonborough offers many opportunities for students to learn about options for life after high school, and I love being part of the journey as students navigate from middle school into work, military or college. Do you want to learn strategies to manage anxiety? Are you looking for ways to be more successful in your classes? Are you thinking about what you want to do after high school? I’m here for you!”
