April1, 2024, Moultonborough School District welcomes Hilary Diehl as our new full-time mental health clinician. Ms. Diehl has over 15 years of clinical experience, 10 of those years within an educational setting. She served as a school counselor at an alternative high school for the Dover School District (7 years). Prior to that she worked as an outpatient therapist. Ms. Diehl brings with her a diverse and impressive set of clinical skills and is certified in an array of evidenced-based practices for youth. She will be a great asset to the district’s counseling team! MSD recognizes that mental health challenges negatively impact students’ full access to—and participation in—learning. The COVID-19 pandemic further exacerbated these challenges and created an overwhelming need for school-based mental health services across the country, especially in rural areas with little to no access to these services outside of school. We are grateful for the community’s support in providing these necessary and valuable services for our students and families.
Ms Diehl shares: “I’m excited about the opportunity to contribute to the health, wellness and safety of the Moultonborough school community. I look forward to supporting our students with social and emotional growth, collaborating with fellow educators and support staff, and making a positive impact on the lives of young people. As a Lakes Region native, I am excited to be back living and working here.”
