Halloween at Wentworth Acres was a great success this year! With the help from the Annual Candy Drive, the students were able to donate over 200 pounds of candy to be handed out October 31st. The candy drive is a competition sponsored by the MA High School Student Council, where grades 9th through 12th compete to see who can donate the most candy. The freshman class won the prize of $100 for their class account with a total of 88 pounds.
Over 400 trick-or-treaters and their families were greeted by School Resource Officer Christen Cloutier and Sgt. Peter Beede from the Moultonborough Police Department who handed out candy all evening. There were 19 student volunteers helping Monday night, between handing out candy at various houses and the Senior Class fundraiser. The senior class held the Trick or Treat Concession Stand with Bob House clam chowder, chili, hot dogs, and other yummy treats.
