As a child, there’s nothing more exciting than a new toy, a new pet, a piece of candy, etc. Though, how about a whole playground addition at school just for you?! Well, here at MCS, we have finally opened the the new playground addition just for preschool students to use. It features soft rubber flooring and other fun amenities, such as a circular viewing window, a steering wheel, a bridge, and not one, not two, not three, but four slide sets!
Last Friday, Principal D’Haene and members of the PTA held the grand opening with the preschool kiddos in the afternoon. She expressed much excitement as the kids were all lined up, eagerly awaiting their turn on their very own playground. D’Haene ensured the students that this is only phase one as there will be other additions to the PK playground in the future. Counting down from five, D’Haene and everyone yelled with glee. “Five, four, three, two, one!” And off they ran, dashing to their playground for the fun that awaited them. A huge thanks goes out to the PTA for making this special moment come to life.
