February 15th is National School Resource Officer Appreciation Day. Thank you to Moultonborough Police Officer Christen Cloutier who is the district’s school resource officer. Officer Cloutier has been a presence at the schools since he completed his school resource officer training in May 2022.
Officer Cloutier works closely with the faculty, staff and students at Moultonborough Academy and Central School. As SRO, he provides schools with advice and guidance on safety and security matters, enhances school and community culture with positive relationships with students, and provides students with another adult role model.
He currently teaches LEAD (Law Enforcement Against Drugs) to 5th & 8th and works with 10th graders on the dangers of DUI and how to interact with officers roadside.
