A reminder that the Moultonborough School District may use Blizzard Bags when weather conditions would normally close school. Blizzard Bags provide continuity of learning when weather or road conditions would make it unsafe to open school. Students in Grades K-3 have received paper Blizzard Bags and students in Grades 4 – 12 will find their assignments by logging into their Schoology accounts. Blizzard Bag assignments are due the next day the class meets. Completed assignments count as attendance and allow the district to count Blizzard Bags days as school days. More details about Blizzard Bags can be found here: http://www.sau45.org/blizzard_bag_days_info
For the 2021-2022 school year, in addition to weather/road conditions, Blizzard Bags Days may be called when opening school jeopardizes student safety, such as in-school transmission of COVID-19 or staffing shortages.
When a Blizzard Bag Day is called, parents and guardians will be notified via Schoolmessenger system that school is closed and students should use their Blizzard Bags. A Blizzard Bag Day will also be announced on WMUR and WMUR.COM.
