At the Moultonborough School District meeting on Saturday March 9, 2024, the community voted to approve the Moultonborough School District operating budget for the 2024-2025 school year. The voters also approved $8.1 million bond for building repairs and updates including: replacing the leaking roof at Moultonborough Central School (MSC), improved air handling at MCS, and installation of energy-saving LED lights at both buildings. One million dollars was also approved to replace the aging and broken boilers at the Academy with modern propane boilers. We appreciate the time and support of community members on Saturday as we work together to provide the residents of Moultonborough with the best possible education for their children.
The district meeting opened with a preview of the Performing Panthers play “All Shook Up”; Olivia Lipson and George Lincoln performed the song from the musical. Play performances are Thursday March 14, Friday March 15, and Saturday March 16 at 7pm and Saturday at 2pm in the Community Auditorium. Community is invited to attend.
Following the preview performance, the Moultonborough Academy chorus, directed by Emma Forest, MA chorus director, sang the national anthem.
