Today, we held our annual Earth Day celebration at MCS. Students participated in a variety of activities focused on conservation, ecology, stewardship and outdoor recreation.
Students worked, under the leadership of the Middle Level students, to install posts on the nature trail for the new story walk. Everyone did an amazing job.
They painted kindness rocks, as part of our choose love initiative and created nature inspired watercolors based on some new books in the Media Center.
Kids played games with the giant Earth ball and participated in a playground clean-up. Many seeds were planted for the garden this summer. The Squam Lakes Natural Science Center also provided programming featuring local animals.
Students finished the day with a whole-school recess. It was a day full of fun, teamwork and discovery. Thank you to students and staff for their participation! A big thank you to Mr. Weeks for organizing this fun day for all!
