MA HS Students Complete Over 225 Hours of Community Service

Before break, students all across the district celebrated Earth Day. High School students participated in a couple of projects in the the morning; making bee hotels, writing cards for St. Jude patients, painting flower pots to be delivered to the nursing home, making paracord bracelets for service members, painting kindness rocks to spread around the MA and MCS campus, and making dog toys from old shirts to donate to the Lakes Region Humane Society.

Afterwards students were off on their next tasks. Students painted at the Castle in the Clouds, helped set up the beach and Geneva Point, built loon rafts at the Loon Center, and helped with spring cleaning at both the Historical Society and the Humane Society. Students also had the opportunity to enjoy this windy, but beautiful day biking, hiking, and enjoying some music at the afternoon field day.
An estimated total of 229 hours of community service were completed by our MA students today. Nice work everyone!
