Moultonborough educators shared their knowledge and learning with their colleagues at the New Hampshire School Library Media Association (NHSLMA) Annual Conference Thursday March 16 and Friday March 17, 2023.
Etienne Vallee, Director of Education Technology, and Amy Flanders, MA English teacher, presented Best Practices for Creating Presentations and Infographics. The presentation explored what the research suggests are the most effective ways to communicate information when using either of these formats.
Etienne Vallee also presented with Dr. Ross Perkins, Associate Professor at Boise State University, Idaho, on School Librarian Leadership in NH: Influencing More Than Technology Usage. The presentation reviewed the results of a survey of NH school librarians conducted in December 2022 that examined New Hampshire school librarians’ perceptions of leadership and the many ways in which school librarians use their leadership skills to influence the culture of the school and impact student learning and achievement.
Carrie Fair, MA Librarian/Media Specialist; Kirsten Pickel, MA Library Assistant; and Zach Glennon, MA Technology teacher, presented Secret Recipe: Collaboration. They shared how working together on projects supported a sense of community across schools and disciplines.
