At the March 5, 2024, Moultonborough School Board meeting, the school board and school community recognized Moultonborough School district Outstanding Support Staff of the Year.  This year’s recipients are Meaghan Tilton, MCS Kindergarten assistant, and Jordan Tankard, Community Auditorium technician.

Jordan Tankard

Jordan Tankard is  a highly skilled auditorium technician with expertise in theatrical lighting, sound engineering, and set design; experience in dynamic musical productions as well as dramatic performances; knowledgable in how to cue lights and sound; willing to collaborate with a variety of temperamental producers and directors; able to be patient with young adults and to engage them in learning how to provide support behind the scenes; and able to do it all with a sense of humor and a positive attitude. Like the Wizard in the Wizard of Oz, Jordan is truly the man behind the curtain. Not only is he good at what he does, but also he does it with humor, a smile, a good attitude, a sincere desire to be helpful and to support all that the district does, and with the understanding  that our mission here is to educate. Jordan involves students in all aspects of what he does so that they too can learn new skills and pursue their passions and explore new opportunities. Jordan’s job title is Auditorium Technician, but in every sense of the word he is also a member of the MA  teaching staff and an indispensable one at that.

Meaghan Tilton

Meagan Tilton has been an employee at MCS for eleven years. After working as a special education para educator for a few years she became a Kindergarten assistant. Meagan is a creative powerhouse in kindergarten. She creates impressive the artistic displays to highlight student work. She is also a calm and steadying presence for our littlest learners. Jenn Elliott, MCS Reading Specialist, shared ” Meagan is one of the most organized and prepared teaching assistants that I have ever known. When I worked with her as a kindergarten teacher, she was always two steps ahead of us, as far as what needed to be done. ”  Miranda Ruel had this to say: “I have had the pleasure of knowing Meagan in many capacities since meeting her many years ago. I have worked with her as a devoted parent of a student in my class, then as a dedicated coworker, and finally as a truly honest and humble friend.  Meagan goes above and beyond with everything she sets her mind to. Her passion for young children is enormous and she brings this to her classroom each
and every day. ”

Congratulations to our Outstanding Support Staff of 2024!
