Thursday March 7, 2024, Moultonborough Academy students enrolled in Ms. Brown’s World History and Mr. Kaiser’s World Literature Classes competed in the school National History Day competition. Students conducted a research topic of their choices following the national theme of “Turning Points in History”. They then could present a product of their choosing from the following categories: Historical Paper, Exhibit, Documentary, Website or Performance Piece. Ms. Brown and Mr. Kaiser invited Moultonborough School Board members, MA and district administration, MA faculty members, and education/history major students from Plymouth State University to judge the student submissions. The student work was impressive and showed great attention to detail, research, and a variety of historical subjects. Winners in each category move on to the State Competition April 6, 2024, at Plymouth State. Congratulations to the winners! Thank you to Mr. Kaiser and Ms. Brown for organizing this event and preparing the students so well.
